Biography

Dr Thomas Sampson joined the Centre for Economic Performance in 2011. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at LSE.

Current areas of research include:

  • International Trade: impact of trade on wage inequality; dynamic gains from trade; import protection.
  • Growth: international technology diffusion; long-run factor shares; intellectual property policy.
  • Brexit: quantitative models of Brexit; impact of Brexit on UK trade; impact of Brexit on UK firms.
