Biography
Dr Tim Obermeier is a lecturer in Economics at the University of Leicester and Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance. Before joining Leicester, Tim was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and completed his PhD at the University of Mannheim in 2019.
Current areas of research include:
- Inequality in income, consumption and well-being: The role of the within family-distribution and marital behaviour
- Women's occupational choice after childbirth and implications for gender inequality
- Firms and inequality: Trends in markup and productivity dispersion in the UK
