Biography

Professor Giammario Impullitti is a Professor of Economics at the School of Economics of the University of Nottingham. Before joining Nottingham he was an assistant professor at Cambridge University and IMT Lucca, and a Max Weber post-doctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. He is currently a research Fellow at CEPR, CEP London School of Economics, CESifo Munich and Centro D'Agliano Milano.

Current areas of research include:

  • Globalisation and growth: trade and technological change; innovation policy in open economy; international cooperation in innovation policy
  • Globalisation and market power: trade and markups; trade and concentration; trade theory under oligopoly
  • Innovation policy and growth: macro modelling of innovation policy; short and long run impact; growth and business cycle; heterogeneous firms
