Dr Giammario Impullitti



I have been an Associate Professor in the School of Economics at the University of Nottingham since September 2013. Before joining Nottingham I was an assistant professor at Cambridge University and IMT Lucca, and a Max Weber post-doctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. I am currently a research Fellow at CEP London School of Economics, CESifo Munich and Centro D'Agliano Milano

Dr Giammario Impullitti's current areas of research are:

  • Gains from trade: quantitative trade models to assess the impact of trade on income and welfare
  • Globalization and the labour market: quantifying the impact of trade on unemployment and wage inequality
  • Innovation/industrial policy: macroeconomic models to assess the role of innovation/industrial policy in promoting growth and development
