About this event

Bringing together graduate students and junior researchers working in the economics of crime and criminal justice.

The Workshop on the Economics of Crime for Junior Scholars (WEC Junior) aims to bring together graduate students and junior researchers to present their research on topics related to the economics of crime and criminal justice. The first edition of the workshop took place online in November 2021, the second one was hosted at Northeastern University in Boston in March 2023, and the third will take place at the London School of Economics in May 2024. Please find the call for papers below.

Call for papers

To submit a paper for consideration, please email a copy of your paper in PDF format to WEC.Jr.Econ@gmail.com with the subject line "WEC Junior Submission".

Submissions of complete or preliminary drafts are welcome, but extended abstracts will not be considered. The submission deadline is 10 January 2024.

Travel and hotel costs for attendees may be covered, and we will notify authors of accepted papers by 24 January 2024 with this information.


Participants are expected to adhere to the CEP Events Code of Conduct.
