In the 2020 budget the UK government committed 1.5 billion pounds over five years to improve further education colleges. Stephen Gibbons, Claudia Hupkau, Sandra McNally and Henry Overman write that the policy should help get more students to a good upper secondary qualification, increase enrolment in higher-education and improve employment outcomes.
