UK finally showing signs of productivity growth, say economists

John Van Reenen, a London School of Economics professor and former chair of Reeves’ council of economic advisers, estimates that annualised productivity growth is running at 1.6 per cent from the third quarter of 2024 onwards compared with just 0.3 per cent over the previous decade.
