The Economist: Domestic violence surges after a football match ends

A study by Ria Ivandic, Tom Kirchmaier and Neus Torres-Blasfinds that a “considerable amount of domestic abuse” could be mitigated by arranging football fixtures on weekdays or later in the evening.
