Biography

Hanwei Huang is an Assistant Professor at the City University of Hong Kong and a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics in 2018. During 2018?2019, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the UCL Department of Economics. His main research interests include international trade, economic geography, and environmental economics.

Current areas of research include:

  • International trade: global production network, logistic network and trade cost, trade war and trade blocs
  • economic geography: dynamic spatial model
  • environmental economics: trade and the environment
