Biography

Professor Yona Rubinstein is a Reader in Managerial Economics and Strategy at the LSE's Department of Management. He is also an Associate at the CEP. His research interests span our Labour, Globalisation and Communities Programmes. He is currently working on a Communities project, focusing on the Determinants of Lone Parenthood with Leonardo Felli. Prior to joining the LSE, Yona taught at both Brown University, Eitan Berglas School of Economics and the University of Chicago.

Current areas of research include:

  • The Determinants of Lone Parenthood - This project is aimed at identifying causes for the dramatic increase in lone parenthood that has occurred in many countries. It will use US data from the 1979 and 1997 cohorts of the NLSY.
