Biography

Ben Dahmen is a PhD student in the Department of Economics at the LSE. His research interests lie in public economics, labor economics, and education, and in his recent work he explored the reasons for university students to work alongside their studies. Ben holds an MSc Economics from the LSE and a BSc in Economics and Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Current areas of research include:

• What influences whether prospective students can and choose to attend university?
• Why do certain people become long-term unemployed?
