Biography

Maxwell Read is an Occasional Research Assistant with the Programme on Innovation and Diffusion. He holds an MA in Economics and Politics from the University of Edinburgh.

Current areas of research include:

Innovation Economics: Evaluating returns to R&D spending, focusing particularly on green innovation policies
Knowledge Spillovers: Using unstructured data to measure diffusion of technical and cultural ideas
