Biography

Abhijit Tagade is an Economics PhD student at the LSE studying macroeconomic questions on innovation and growth using theory and microeconomic data. He completed his Masters APE from Paris School of Economics and EHESS specializing in theory and economic history, and did his predoc at the College de France with Philippe Aghion.

Current areas of research include:

• Economics of innovation: networks and competition, impact on financial markets, and the impact of technology and AI on labor
• Human capital and labor: long run unequal opportunity, the direction of technological change, uneven growth, impact of AI
