Biography

Thomas Prayer is a Research Economist at the London School of Economics, an academic visitor at the Bank of England and part of the trade programme at the Centre for Economic Performance. He received his BA and MPhil from the University of Cambridge where he is currently completing his PhD.

Current areas of research include:

  • Trade policy: impact on firm behaviour, trade agreements and non-tariff barriers, competitive gains from trade
  • Trade shocks: exchange rates, transmission mechanisms, strategic interactions between firms
