Biography
Dr Jonathon Hazell is an assistant professor of economics at the London School of Economics, having received a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Centre for Economic Performance as well as the Centre for Macroeconomics.
Current areas of research include:
- Wage setting: wage rigidity and unemployment dynamics; determinants of wage setting by firms; effect of firms' wage policies on regional and macroeconomic outcomes; wage and price inflation
- Productivity growth: the interaction between short run recessions and long run growth; technology adoption; persistence of high unemployment
