Biography

Dr Kirill Borusyak is an Assistant Professor at UC Berkeley's Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and an Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance. He is also affiliated with CEPR, CeMMAP, and the IFS. He received his PhD at Harvard University in 2018.

Current areas of research include:

  • International trade: distributional effects of trade; price effects of trade
  • Spatial economics: effects of transportation infrastructure; migration effects of economic shocks
  • Applied econometrics: causal inference; shift-share instruments; formula instruments; difference-in-difference methods
