Ningyuan Jia is completing his PhD in Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE), from which he also obtained a Master degree in ecocomics. He is working as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Economic Performance for Swati Dhingra. His main areas of interest are international trade, development and urban economics.
Current areas of research include:
- How regions within a country gain unevenly from opening to trade. Gains from trade differ substantially across regions depending on their comparative advantage and local demographic characteristics.
- Identify the effect of waste bans for import and export countries.
