Why do some companies have gender inequalities, and how do family-friendly policies help mothers and attract different workers? How can we boost the numbers of female school students applying to more selective universities?
Ahead of International Women's Day 2025, CEP is hosting an event to highlight the importance of economics in understanding the challenges women face. Our speakers will present research on gender issues and share personal insights into careers in economics. Anna Raute and Camille Terrier will speak about gender issues in labour markets and education. Swati Dhingra will be sharing her experience of a career in economics.
There will be a panel discussion, a Q&A session, and an opportunity for LSE staff and students interested in economics to network. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.
Please note that this is an in-person event, open only to current LSE staff and students.
Speakers:
Swati Dhingra, associate professor of economics at LSE, CEP associate, and Bank of England monetary policy committee member
Anna Raute, senior lecturer in economics at Queen Mary, University of London
Camille Terrier, senior lecturer in economics at Queen Mary, University of London
