Biography
Ahmet Girisken is a visiting PhD student at the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics. He is a fourth-year PhD student in Economics at the Stockholm School of Economics in Sweden. His host at CEP is Professor Guy Michaels. His research focuses on human capital formation, labor market integration, and inequality, with particular emphasis on language skills, education policies, social networks, and worker?firm sorting. Using quasi-experimental methods and rich administrative data, he studies how skills and social environments shape employment outcomes, wage dynamics, and career trajectories over the life cycle.
