Biography

Nathan is an Assistant Professor of Development Economics at the London School of Economics. He is the co-founder of the Industrial Policy Group and SoDalabs.io, and an affiliate of CESifo. His research areas include industrial development, growth, political economy, empirical economics, and applied machine learning. Before joining LSE, Nathan was an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research examines how states, governments, and politics shape economic change; his goal is to establish key empirical facts about industrial policy.
