Biography

Dr Alberto Prati is an associate at the Centre for Economic Performance, London School of Economics. He also serves as an assistant professor in economics at the University College London, and a research fellow of the Wellbeing Research Centre, University of Oxford.

Current areas of research include:

  • Measurement: improving the measurement of subjective ratings, with a focus on the quality, reliability, and interpretation of self-reported satisfaction data.
  • Beyond GDP: understanding human wellbeing, its socio-economic determinants, and its relationship with material inequality and environmental sustainability.
  • Judgments: understanding how memory, emotion, and reasoning shape people's judgments, beliefs, and decisions.
