We are delighted to announce that the London School of Economics is hosting the 2026 Workshop on Intergenerational Mobility and Migration, with the joint support of the Centre for Economic Performance, the International Inequalities Institute, and the Programme on Cohesive Capitalism.

The workshop features four thematic sessions: Intergenerational Mobility and Elites, Integration and Assimilation, Intergenerational Mobility and the Labour Market, and Migration: Impacts and Returns. The event will take place at LSE Marshall building, room 1.08, from 08:45 to 17:30 on May 8, 2026.

Registration

The workshop is open to in-person attendance for LSE staff and students subject to mandatory registration. To register, please send an email from your LSE email address to l.a.sirugue@lse.ac.uk by April 10, 2026. Registration will be confirmed individually the following week. Places are limited, and we may not be able to meet all registration requests.

Catering will be provided through the day. Please indicate any food restrictions in your registration email.
