Discussing the economics of education and skills by exploring student choice, tracking, and inequality.
The Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics (LSE) is holding a conference on the Economics of Education and Skills on 29-30 May 2025. The keynote speakers are Esteban Aucejo (Arizona State University) and Michela Carlana (Harvard Kennedy School).
The themes of the conference are Education tracking, field of study, and inequality. We are particularly interested in submissions on topics related to the drivers of student choice and selection within secondary and tertiary education, including vocational education and apprenticeship training; differences in education inputs across education tracks or institutions as well as the long-term consequences of education tracking on inequality.
