Description
The LSE Department of Management, Centre for Economic Performance and STICERD invites you to a one-day conference bringing together leading world researchers studying entrepreneurship from a variety of different perspectives. It will include presentations offering insights from theory, empirical assessments, policy evaluations, and providing views on entrepreneurs, small businesses, and linkages to the macro economy in developed and developing countries. Confirmed speakers and papers include:- Edward Lazear (Stanford): Why Are Some Immigrant Groups More Successful than Others? Education, Earnings and Entrepreneurship.
- Kyle Herkenhoff (Minnesota): The Impact of Consumer Credit Access on Employment, Earnings and Entrepreneurship.
- Sara Moreira (Northwestern): How Do Firms Grow? The Product Life Cycle Matters
- Nava Ashraf (LSE): Trust in the City: Entrepreneurship and Institutions in Urban Zambia
- Kaivan Munshi (Cambridge): Community Networks and the Growth of Private Enterprise in China.
- Fabian Waldinger (LSE): Manager Quality and Firm Performance: Evidence from `Aryanizations' in Nazi Germany
