Directions: come out of Harpenden Station onto Station Approach. At the end, turn left onto Station Road. Turn left again on to Arden Grove then right to Southdown Road. The hotel is located on the left side of the green.

NOTES FOR SPEAKERS:

• Programme Directors are allocated 10 minutes at the start of their session to make a brief introduction – you are also responsible for keeping your session running to time as best you can.
• Speakers are allocated a maximum of 25 minutes (+5min Q&A) to present their paper, therefore please make your presentations clear and succinct.

Time is very tight in the programme and any overruns will be made up for from break times.

TRAVEL

The conference begins at 09:45 on Monday and finishes at 15:45 on Tuesday

If you are driving to the conference, there is parking at the hotel.

GROUP TRAIN TRAVEL

Outbound train – leaves St Pancras station at 09.20 (look for First Capital Connect platform B)
Return train - leaves Harpenden Station at 16:12

Please aim to be at the station in plenty of time. I'm afraid if you miss your train, you will have to buy ticket another at your own expense. I won't be travelling with the group so you MUST pick up your ticket in advance. Tickets will be left CEP pigeon-holes on WEDNESDAY 15 May- if you can't make it to CEP to collect the tickets, please nominate someone else to collect for you.

MEALS & ACCOMMODATION

All meals will be provided, and there will be a group dinner in the hotel restaurant on Monday evening at 7.45pm. Menu:

STARTER
Haddock fishcake, pickled cucumber, horseradish cream, salsa verdi, herb salad
Vegetarian Option:
Vine tomato, buffalo mozzarella & basil salad, toasted pine nuts

MAIN
Roasted rump of lamb, dauphinoise potatoes seasonal vegetables, port & redcurrant sauce
Vegetarian Option:
Field mushroom & goats cheese wellington, ratatouille

DESSERT
Warm almond & cherry tart, crème anglaise
Freshly brewed Tea and coffee

For those that have requested it, accommodation will be provided at the Harpenden House Hotel. Rooms should be ready for check in by the lunch break on Monday 20 May. All guests should check out BEFORE the Tuesday morning session - hand in your keys at reception. CEP will pay for Bed and Breakfast only. Any other charges will need to be settled by yourselves on departure.
