About the Speaker: Paul Krugman is one of the world’s most famous living economists. He is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University and Centenary Professor, at LSE. A prolific author, he writes a twice weekly column in the New York Times and in 2008 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, honouring his work in international trade patterns.

After the first lecture in the Old Theatre, Professor Krugman will be available to sign copies of his book "The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008". Copies will be available to purchase on the night.
