Fighting climate change: International attitudes toward climate policies

Climate policies to limit global warming have often been difficult to pass and implement. In exploring the policy preferences of over 40,000 people in 20 high- and middle-income countries, the authors find that whether people support a climate policy depends on its perceived effectiveness in reducing emissions, inequality concerns, and self-interest.
