High energy prices unlikely to affect trade, study finds

Researchers says even a 10-fold rise in EU carbon price would lead to a less than 0.5 per cent drop in exports
A large rise in energy prices would barely affect exports from European industry and the balance of trade, academics have said. ... ''Even heavy, energy-intensive industries are more resilient to high energy prices than has been suggested by some companies and politicians,'' said co-author Dr Antoine Dechezlepretre.
