Carmen is a MRes/PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Warwick, and a Research Assistant at the CEP. Her recent research has focused on gang violence in London, under the supervision of Prof. Tom Kirchmaier, and Prof. Stephen Machin. Within the field of economics of crime she is also interested in drug markets, and collaborates with the Global Drug Survey. Other research interests include media economics and political economy, particularly the determinants of political polarisation. Carmen has also worked as a Teaching Assistant of Industrial Economics at the LSE Department of Economics from 2017 to2019.
