Biography

Kalina Manova is Professor of Economics at UCL, specializing in international trade and investment. She received her AB, AM and PhD at Harvard, and was previously faculty at Stanford, Princeton, and Oxford. She is Fellow of the Econometric Society, CEPR, CEP, IGC and CESifo; Consultant at the World Bank and IADB; Board Director at the Review of Economic Studies; and Editorial Board Member at the American Economic Journal: Policy. She has received the EEA Yrjo Jahnsson Award, the Philip Leverhulme Prize in Economics, a 5-year ?2.4M UKRI/ERC Advanced Grant, a 5-year ?1.5M ERC Consolidator Grant, and a 3-year ₤750K ESRC Brexit Grant. Her research examines global production networks and multinational activity; firm management and innovation; trade policy and disintegration; and financial frictions in trade and FDI.
