Ted Pinchbeck is a Research Associate at the Urban Programme of the Centre for Economic Performance and the Spatial Economics Research Centre, where he worked as a full-time Research Officer between September 2014 and August 2018. He is also a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at City, University of London. He holds a PhD in Economic Geography and an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance from LSE, as well as an MSc in Economics from Warwick University. Earlier in his career, Ted worked as an economist at Monitor the NHS healthcare regulator, the Department of Health and the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills.
Current areas of research include:
- Urban and transport economics, health economics, and the economics and finance of real estate markets. Current research projects include revealing discount rates in housing markets, and the evaluation of NHS care policies using spatial research designs.
