Biography

Iftikhar is a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance and a lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Sussex. He works on the economics of education. His previous research projects include an evaluation of the returns in the labour market to quality of higher education institution (with Sandra McNally and Shqiponja Telhaj) and the role of management in schools (with Tim Besley and Steve Machin). His current research focuses on the role of information in families’ school choices. Iftikhar’s previous experience includes work at the Financial Services Authority in London.
