Biography

Professor Alan Spearot is Visiting Professor of Economics in the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics from January through June, 2025. He is on leave from his position of Professor of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Current areas of research include:

• International Trade Policy: Evaluating trade agreements, factor mobility in response to trade agreements, inquality.
• Development: Spatial access to markets, value chains
