Biography

Dr Bertha Rohenkohl is the Research and Data Economics Lead at Our World in Data (OWID). Her work focuses on global poverty, inequality, and economic growth, among other important topics, aiming to make research in these areas easier to access and understand. Bertha has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Sheffield and a double M.Sc. in Economic Development from the University of Warwick and Lund University. Before joining OWID, she collaborated with Professor Sir Christopher Pissarides on the Pissarides Review project, during her role as Principal Economist at the Institute for the Future of Work.

Current areas of research include:

  • Inequality: global inequality, intergenerational mobility
  • Labour economics: technological transitions, skills changes, future of work
