Biography

Dr Filippo Boeri is an applied trade economist, with an expertise in empirical analyses exploiting large micro data. His main research interests lie at the intersection of international economics and urban economics, with a particular focus on the role of trade and technological shocks in the rise of inequalities across regions and different socio-economic groups. He is also interested in the analysis of place-based policies, with a focus on education and crime.

Current areas of research include:

  • International trade: Multinational business groups; Shock propagation; Labour-capital complementarities.
  • Urban Economics: Agglomeration economies, Analysis of place-based policies
