Vivian Liu attended Barnard College at Columbia University for her bachelors, where she studied development economics and worked at the Earth Institute. After spending a year in Washington DC conducting research related to financial stability and monetary policy, she pursued a masters degree at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. She currently works as a research assistant to Professor Vernon Henderson, on research related to urbanization in developing countries. Her hobbies include drawing and eating.
