Biography

My research interests include development, urbanization and the political economy of conflicts. In particular, recent projects have been focusing on the effects of resource scarcity alongside ethnic and cultural dimensions through the investigation of the settler-nomad conflict in Africa, as well as through researching the political economy of infrastructure projects.
