Human Capital
The UK traditionally scores well at the top of the educational pyramid with leading global universities, but badly at the bottom with 20 per cent of adults functionally illiterate. How do training and human capital affect productivity as measured by workers wages and by firm's output per hour? An example of research in this area is The Impact of Training on Productivity and Wages: Evidence from British Panel Data.
