The programmes are: Education and Skills (Director: Dr Sandra McNally) Globalisation (Director: Prof. Stephen Redding, Deputy Director Dr Henry Overman) Labour Markets (Director: Prof. Alan Manning) Macro Programme (Director: Prof. Chris Pissarides) Productivity and Innovation (Director: Prof. John Van Reenen) Wellbeing (Director: Prof. Lord Richard Layard) Associated with the above thematic programmes are self-standing programmes of work funded by outside sponsors: Centre for the Economics of Education (CEE), funded by the Department for Education and Skills. EDS Innovation Research Programme [NEW] Explaining Productivity and Growth in Europe, America and Asia (Dr. Tobias Kretschmer) Manpower Human Resources Lab [NEW] Mental Health Policy Group (Prof. Lord Richard Layard) Completed self-standing programmes: Pay Inequalities and Economic Performance (PIEP), with support from the European Commission and Eurostat. Future of Unions Programme, funded by the Leverhulme Trust. Skills for All Programme, focusing on post-16 education and training and the new modern Apprenticeship, funded by the Esmeé Fairbairn Foundation.
