This seminar will present the findings of the latest phase of the joint McKinsey/LSE research into management practices among industrials - now extended to more than 3,500 manufacturers in over 10 countries (including the UK, USA, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, India and Japan). We will present our latest analyses and discuss:
  • Why are there substantial variations both between countries and within countries?
  • What does this latest survey say about the link between management and productivity?
  • What roles do ownership type, organisational structure and competition play?
  • What are the better managed companies doing right?
  • How does the UK compare?
